About this adventure
On Sunday afternoons through the holiday season, a Victorian-style Father Christmas, with lantern, walking stick and red cloak trimmed in white, wanders through the decorated rooms of the Pabst Mansion on Wisconsin Avenue. Families tour the 1890s Gilded Age mansion at their own pace, admiring the glowing Christmas trees and festive displays in each room, while Father Christmas makes his way from floor to floor so children can meet him along the route rather than waiting in a single line. Kids can write letters to Santa, and holiday treats are sold. There is also a special Christmas Eve morning visit. Because it is a self-guided historic house tour with stairs between floors, it suits walking preschoolers and school-age children best; strollers may be awkward. Space is limited, and the mansion strongly recommends buying tickets in advance; tickets can be exchanged up to 48 hours ahead but are non-refundable. The event page does not print the ticket price, so check the booking link.
