About this adventure

The region's oldest independent nature center, a restored 485-acre sanctuary in Ozaukee County with more than ten miles of trails through forest, prairie, ponds and Milwaukee River frontage, plus the Riveredge Tree Walk loops. Visitors' kids often head for the resident turtles. Fishing is allowed at Heron Pond only, and nets or tools are not allowed in the ponds to protect amphibians. A free all-terrain Action Trackchair is available. Pets and drones are not permitted. Trail fees are paid at the trailside kiosk (cash or check) or online.
