About this adventure
A Scandinavian holiday afternoon at Lowry Nature Center marking St. Lucia Day. Participants make several ornaments from natural materials, hear a Lucia story about light in the darkest time of the year, make a cookie and sing a Swedish song. A musician demonstrates the nyckelharpa, Sweden's national instrument, and there is an optional self-guided hike outdoors. The park district says the program suits adults, kids and family groups, with a minimum age of 6. Register by December 10.
