About this adventure
Ahead of St. Nicholas Day (December 6), Lowry Nature Center teaches families to use a GPS unit for outdoor navigation, then sends them along the trails to find hidden shoes with sweet treats inside, a nod to the old custom of St. Nicholas filling children's shoes. The program is mostly outdoors, so dress for the weather. Free, all ages welcome; registration through Three Rivers Park District.
