About this adventure

The Tennessee State Museum's Children's Gallery is designed for ages 3–8 to explore Tennessee history and culture hands-on. Kids walk a giant floor map of the state, try on period and rock-and-roll costumes in a West Tennessee STAX Records area, see how Reelfoot Lake formed on an earthquake table, run a Middle Tennessee farmers market, play with trains in Chattanooga, explore the Great Smoky Mountains and trace fossils from the Gray Fossil Site. The museum may limit how many people are in the gallery at once. Family bathrooms with changing tables are on the first floor, and lockers are free.
