About this adventure

The Panto Company USA brings its family pantomime Cinderella to the Paramount Hudson Valley in Peekskill as a sensory-friendly Sunday-afternoon performance. Bullied by two mean stepsisters, Cinderella gets to the ball thanks to her Fairy Godmother, flees at midnight and leaves a glass slipper behind — told British-panto style with original modern songs, colorful characters and lots of audience participation. The performance is adapted for people with autism, sensory sensitivities or other social, learning or cognitive disabilities: sound is lowered (especially sudden loud sounds), house lights stay on at a low level, strobe and audience-facing lights are reduced, and guests may talk and leave their seats. It is a comfortable first theater experience for any young child, and siblings are welcome.
