About this adventure

Montréal's Cirque Kalabanté returns to Queens College's Colden Auditorium with WOW (World of Words), a family circus show rooted in Guinean and wider African culture. Acrobats perform high-flying sequences to live drumming and song, weaving in storytelling, ritual and physical play, and the show builds to a finale about unity guided by the company's themes of trust, respect and wisdom. The troupe was founded by Guinean-born acrobat Yamoussa Bangoura, a former Cirque Éloize and Cirque du Soleil performer, and many company members are his relatives. Listed in the center's Family series, it suits school-age children who enjoy acrobatics and live music. One Sunday 3 pm performance; tickets are $30 plus fees, with reduced fees for phone or in-person purchases.
