The Constable Elementary PTO in Kendall Park (South Brunswick) runs a pre-Thanksgiving race morning built around young children. Families can arrive at 8:00 a.m. for games on the school grounds, then the littlest runners, ages 3 to 11, line up for the 50-Yard Dash at 8:30 a.m. Kids ages 4 to 11 can try the Half Mile, run in two waves at 8:45 and 8:55 a.m., and parents or older siblings finish the morning with the 5K at 9:15 a.m. The dash is the cheapest way to join, at a few dollars per child before the November 5 price change. Proceeds support the elementary school's parent-teacher organization.
