About this adventure

Grey Towers National Historic Site in Milford, Pennsylvania, decorates its stone mansion for the holidays and opens it for self-guided tours on afternoons from Thanksgiving weekend through the week after Christmas. Families walk through the decorated rooms at their own pace between noon and 3 pm, which suits children who would fidget on a formal guided tour, and the dates include the Friday and weekend after Thanksgiving and several days of the winter school break. Admission is $10 per person, collected for the Grey Towers Heritage Association, the nonprofit partner that runs events at the site. The house's separate holiday performance of A Christmas Carol on December 4–6 is already marked sold out and is not part of the open house. Grey Towers sits just outside the borough of Milford in Pike County, and the grounds make a good short walk before or after the visit if the weather allows.
