Lasdon Public Gardens turns its Glass House Conservatory into a holiday model-train show for the season. Model trains run over multi-level tracks through detailed miniature landscapes, whimsical scenes and festive holiday displays, and the county pitches it as an experience for visitors of all ages, which makes it an easy outing with toddlers and train-mad school-age kids alike. Entry is by timed ticket: each slot lasts one hour, and families pick a date and time on the gardens' ticketing page before they go. The show runs on Friday-to-Sunday weekends from Thanksgiving weekend through the last weekend of December, including Christmas Day, with slots between 10 am and 4 pm. The county lists tickets at $10 to $20. Because it is set indoors in the conservatory, it works in cold weather, but plan for a short walk across the grounds from parking.
