A Day of Healing through Play in honor of National Children's Grief Awareness Month. Families learn about Día de los Muertos and make crafts honoring ancestors and loved ones: decorate a memory jar, get calavera face painting, add to LICM's ofrenda, create papel picado squares for the ofrenda banners and make paper marigolds (cempasúchil). Bereavement and grief resources are available throughout. Part of the ACM/NY Life Foundation Healing through Play initiative.
