A Día de Muertos show by Urban Stages and Mexico Beyond Mariachi, part of BPL's Events for Youth & Families series. The ensemble performs music, dances and stories shared during the holiday, from the ancient Mexica to the present-day Purépecha people of Michoacán. Families are invited to come in costume, and attendees may bring a photo of a loved one to place on a communal altar during the performance (photos go home with you afterwards). Mexico Beyond Mariachi is a New York multicultural ensemble of musicians, actors, dancers and teaching artists founded in 2005.
