Massapequa Park's Turkey Trot is held the Saturday before Thanksgiving at Brady Park on Lake Shore Drive. Kids start with the Youth Fun Run at 8:30 a.m., a three-quarter-mile loop around the lake, and the 5K follows at 9:00 a.m. The 5K includes a stroller division, so parents with babies can take part and be scored with others pushing strollers. Fees step up on October 31 and add five dollars on race day, so registering early on RunSignup is the cheaper route. The race is produced by EventPower LI, which lists its other Long Island events on its own site.
