About this adventure
The Norman Firehouse Art Center, a community art center near downtown Norman, teaches semester-long art classes for young learners ages 2-14 (including its Art After School courses) and teen classes for middle and high school artists ages 13-18. Children's classes follow a structured curriculum based on the Oklahoma Academic Standards for visual arts and are taught by faculty trained to tailor projects to each age group, building a foundation in mediums and techniques through creative play. Teen classes go deeper into ceramics, printmaking and other studio media while students develop their own artistic voice. Flexible payment plans are offered on select classes, and scholarships are available.
