About this adventure

The Edmond History Museum hosts Edmond's 5th annual Veterans Day Celebration, an hour-long outdoor ceremony at the Stephenson Park Pavilion followed by veteran-related booths to visit. The program includes a presentation of colors by the Edmond North Jr. ROTC, the national anthem sung by Alicia Vanderschaaf, the Armed Services Medley by the Edmond Community Chorale and a musket salute by the Sons of the American Revolution. Speakers are MSG (R) Aaron Hudgins of the Travis Manion Foundation, CAPT David Gardner, Commodore SCW-1, and RADM Ben Reynolds, USN N82. The late-afternoon time after school makes it easy for families, and school-age children get to see the color guard, music and musket salute up close. The museum next door is the backup location if the weather is bad.
