Opening Night switches on Yukon's Christmas in the Park for the season with an evening of free family activities in Chisholm Trail Park. Free attractions include a Santa photo experience with a real reindeer, Christmas face painting, a kids' raffle, an elf circus act with a stilt walker, large inflatables, a 140-foot zip line, a drone show at 7 p.m., and the 1K Jingle Walk through the lights. Paid extras are the Chill Your Cheeks 5K, the outdoor ice rink, Christmas train rides and carnival food trucks. Schedule: last-minute 5K and 1K registration 3–4:30 p.m., Mascot Dash 4:30 p.m., 5K start and kids' activities 5 p.m., Jingle Walk 5:15 p.m., circus act 6:30 p.m., drone show 7 p.m.; kids' activities close at 8 p.m. and Santa photos at 9 p.m. A free shuttle bus runs from Yukon Middle School from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and parts of W. Vandament Ave. close during the 5K. The south end of the park is closed during the drone show, so watch from the north side by Boot Hill.
