About this adventure

The Oklahoma Railway Museum runs the licensed THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride from its station on NE Grand Boulevard. The one-hour trip is set to the film's soundtrack. Car hosts punch each golden ticket, dancing chefs serve hot chocolate and Walker's shortbread, and passengers read along with Chris Van Allsburg's book. Santa and his helpers then board to greet every passenger and hand out the first gift of Christmas, a silver sleigh bell, which guests keep, and characters lead caroling in each car. There is no outdoor North Pole set; Santa comes aboard instead. Coach cars are historic coaches decorated for the holidays. Two restored 1954 First Class cars have reclining seats and come with a collectible ceramic mug. All seats are assigned and chosen at checkout. Arrive about 40 minutes before showtime to park and check in; trains leave 20 minutes after the listed showtime. Wheelchair spaces are in Car 4 (not in First Class), the train has no accessible restroom (the grounds do), and groups of 20+ book by phone.
