About this adventure
The Holiday Hop is an old-fashioned Christmas afternoon spread across three historic sites a few blocks apart near Stephenson Park and downtown Edmond. Families stroll from stop to stop for free holiday crafts, Santa photos and hot cocoa in a period setting. The stops are the Edmond History Museum (431 S. Boulevard), the 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse (124 E. 2nd St.) and the Victorian Rodkey House (410 S. Littler). The sites are close enough for young children to walk between, and families can start at whichever stop is easiest and take their time in the three-hour window. It's an easy, low-cost way to get a Santa photo and a few homemade ornaments without the lines of a mall visit. The same museum runs a drop-off Pioneer Christmas camp at the schoolhouse the following week for ages 6–13.
