About this adventure

On two December Saturday evenings, downtown Guthrie stages its Victorian Walks, a Christmas street event in the heart of the country's largest historic district. For more than 20 years they have drawn guests from around the world, many of them in Victorian costume; the organizers post costume ideas and a FAQ for anyone who wants to dress up or take part. Families stroll the decorated brick streets among the 1890s storefronts during the four-hour evening. Kids who like dressing up can come in period costume, and the outing suits families looking for a quieter, old-fashioned Christmas. Vendors also take part. Pair a walk with the Historic Homes Tour, held during the day on December 5.
