About this adventure

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art downtown admits children 17 and under free every day, which makes it an easy art stop with kids. The museum actively welcomes families: talking, questions and even occasional singing are encouraged in the galleries, children are invited to bring a sketch pad and pencil (no pens) and sit on the floor to draw, and a printable Be Your Own Guide has gallery games. The first-floor Family Space has a low-stimulation quiet area, KultureCity sensory bags can be borrowed, strollers are lent free at the Admissions Desk, and there is a private nursing space plus changing tables in most restrooms. Food is allowed on the landings and in the Family Space but not in galleries, and children may not ride on shoulders or in back carriers. Everyone gets in free on the second Sunday of each month through the Access for All program.
