About this adventure

The Ice Factory in Kissimmee is a family-run indoor ice arena (open since 1998) with two sheets of real ice and public skating every day of the week. The NHL-sized Main Rink (200 x 85 ft) hosts the busier sessions, with a DJ and disco lights on Friday and Saturday nights; the smaller Studio Rink (85 x 40 ft) runs quieter sessions, mostly on weeknights and Sunday evenings, and suits first-timers and families with young children. Helmets and bucket-style skating aids are free, and children who are not ready to skate can rent a 'Bobby the Seal' ride-on sled. No reservations are needed for public sessions; tickets can be pre-purchased online. Sessions typically run 2–3 hours (weekday mid-days on the Main Rink, plus afternoon and evening sessions on weekends), but the schedule changes and updates on the rink's live calendar. The arena also runs a skating school with classes for tots to adults, youth hockey, curling and birthday parties.
