About this adventure
Grande Lakes Orlando, the resort shared by The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott off Central Florida Parkway, sets up a seasonal outdoor ice-skating rink on its Da Vinci Lawn beside the lake for the holiday season. Skating runs in one-hour sessions each evening, starting at 5:30 PM with the last session beginning at 10:00 PM, and tickets are booked online through the resort's activities site; skating is open to the public, not only hotel guests. Next to the rink are reservable fire pits with s'mores kits and a rink-side food menu, and the European-style Christmas Market with hourly snowfall runs on the same lawn. It is one of the few real-ice outdoor skating experiences in Central Florida, which makes it a novelty for children who have never skated. Hours may vary on select dates; check the booking page before you go.
