About this adventure

As part of Downtown for the Holidays, snow falls on East Washington Street beside the Lake Eola House on December weekend evenings. Each snowfall lasts 15 minutes and repeats every half hour from 6 to 9 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, which gives children several chances to stand in the flurries between other downtown holiday stops. The snow zone is next to the Eola House, where Santa greets families on the same weekend evenings, and a short walk from the holiday train, the Grinch photo spot and the nightly Christmas tree light-and-music show at Lake Eola Park. The snowfall is free and outdoors, with no tickets to book; the busiest moments are the top and bottom of each hour, so families with small children may prefer to wait at the edges of the street. Pair it with the Sunday, December 13 sensory-friendly evening at the park if a calmer visit suits your child better.
