Instead of a gingerbread house to eat, families at Ashland Nature Center in Hockessin decorate one for the birds. The Delaware Nature Society supplies an assembled house and all the fixings, and children and their grown-ups decorate it into a treat-covered feeder to hang for backyard birds, while warming up by a crackling fire with cocoa. The 90-minute session is on Saturday morning, December 5. The $40 price is per house; note that peanuts are used in the program, which matters for anyone with a nut allergy.
