Annual holiday display at the Brandywine Museum of Art: the Brandywine Railroad (since 1972), an O-gauge layout with 2,000 feet of track and 1,000+ pieces, trains passing a village, farm, factories, drive-in and carnival, with push buttons and foot pedals for visitors; plus dollhouses, Critter-ornament trees, and the new exhibition Greeting Seasons: Wintry Joy in Children's Illustration (Micha Archer, Kevin Henkes, Chris Raschka, Audrey Helen Weber). Open daily 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m.; late to 8 p.m. Fri–Sun Dec 18–Jan 3.
