At Coverdale Farm Preserve in Greenville, the Delaware Nature Society's Knee High Naturalists sessions bring preschoolers and a grown-up outdoors with Teacher Naturalists for hands-on nature and farm discovery. The late-fall and winter themes are Turkey Time, meeting the Coverdale turkeys and seeing how farmers care for them (November 13); Celebrate the Season, making festive winter crafts and gifts in the farm's DIY Workshop (December 4); Evergreens, a winter stroll to learn about evergreen trees and gather greenery for a seasonal craft (December 18); and New Year in Nature, celebrating 2027 by talking about the yearly cycles in the environment (January 8). Sessions run on Friday mornings for 90 minutes, are for ages 3-5 and cost $15 per child with a member discount. Each date has its own registration page.
