Independence Seaport Museum celebrates Halloween with Spooky Seaport Saturday on October 24, 2026, from 10 am to 2 pm, with family activities and crafts throughout the building. Teen ambassadors hand out candy and treats while teaching visitors about the history of sailing, children can hop aboard Olympia to learn their pirate name and dress up to match, a sea-monster scavenger hunt earns a small prize, and in the boat shop children can craft a mini monster from recycled materials. Visitors in costume get 10% off in the gift shop. All activities are free with museum admission; the museum's exhibits include the cruiser Olympia and the World War II-era submarine Becuna. The museum is at 211 S. Columbus Boulevard; on regular days it is open Thursday to Tuesday, 10 am to 5 pm, with last entry at 4:30 pm.
