Arden Children's Theatre's holiday production is a brand-new stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, adapted and directed by Whit MacLaughlin, who also created the Arden's family versions of Charlotte's Web, A Year with Frog and Toad and Peter Pan. Dorothy and Toto follow the yellow brick road in an inventive retelling about courage and friendship. The Arden, Philadelphia's first resident professional children's theatre, says the show is most enjoyed by families with children ages 5 and older. Performances run November 25, 2026 to January 17, 2027 at the Arden in Old City; group tickets and student matinees are also offered, and a two-show children's package can be bought together with If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.
