Scottsdale Quarter's annual tree lighting, themed "a Starlit Holiday" this year, takes over The Quad on the Saturday after Thanksgiving from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The evening's entertainment includes a light-up violinist, songs from the Jingle Belles, ballet dancers, a toy soldiers performance and an appearance by the Grinch, along with holiday photo ops, a gourmet hot chocolate bar and free crafts for the kids. The center's all-new holiday tree is lit promptly at 7:00 pm, followed by the season's first snowfall. Professional Santa photos are available for purchase. The event is free to attend; a ticketed VIP lounge is sold separately, and $5 raffle tickets support Phoenix Children's, with prizes worth up to $1,500 including a resort stay with tickets to Christmas at the Princess.
