About this adventure
The Ice Den Scottsdale, the Coyotes' community rink on Bell Road, opens its ice to the public for two-hour sessions on select weekends, plus holiday sessions: Turkey Skates over Thanksgiving week (11/25–11/29), Holiday Skates on select dates December 1–23 and Winter Break Skates December 26 – January 3. Every session must be reserved online in advance; registration opens at noon two days before the session, and the monthly schedule is posted around the 15th. Admission includes rental skates (over 800 pairs, from toddler size 6), family-friendly music and a 20-minute intermission; skate trainers for small beginners can be rented at the desk, and a child on a trainer needs an adult skater with them. The rink is kept around 56°F, so bring layers, gloves and socks; helmets are recommended. Strollers, carrying small children on the ice, sticks and pucks, and jumps or spins are not allowed.
