About this adventure

On the Saturday before Veterans Day, the children of the Celebrate Kids Choir give a short patriotic concert at Fountain Hills Library. Over about half an hour the young singers perform songs including "This Land Is Your Land," "A Tribute to the Armed Services" and "We Say Thank You," a musical thank-you to the people who have served in the armed forces. The library describes it as a program for families and all ages, and no registration is required, so families can simply arrive a little before 10 a.m. and find a seat in the Reading Lounge. The short length suits young children, and it is a natural moment to talk with kids about what Veterans Day is for. The concert is sponsored by the Fountain Hills Friends of the Library. For accommodation requests, call the library district at 602-652-3000 at least 14 business days ahead.
