About this adventure
The Richard G. Snyder YMCA and Miles of Smiles Timing Service hold Armstrong County's Turkey Trot on the Sunday before Thanksgiving along the Armstrong Trail beside the Allegheny River. The morning opens with a free Kids Race (about 100 meters) for children 10 and under at 8:55 AM, followed by the half marathon at 9:00 AM and the 5K at 9:30 AM on a flat out-and-back trail course. Every finisher gets a turkey-themed medal, there are age-group awards, water stops and water at the finish, and food after the race. A technical shirt is available for $5 extra. Virtual 5K and half-marathon options are offered too.
