About this adventure

Ellwood City's Gobbler's Gallop has been a Thanksgiving-morning tradition for more than three decades, with races starting on Country Club Drive in front of Riverside High School and finishing on the school's track. Runners can do the 10K at 9 a.m., the 5K at 10:15 a.m., or both, and anyone who prefers a stroll can walk the 5K at any time between 9 and 11 a.m., which makes it easy for families with young children or grandparents to take part together. Medals go to the top finishers, with age groups starting at 13 and under. Online registration closes at 6:30 p.m. on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and race-day registration is available. Proceeds go to the Riverside and Ellwood City cross-country teams and the Riverside Community Education Foundation.
