Kennywood becomes a holiday park with more than three million lights, themed areas such as Candy Cane Lane and Gingerbread Junction, and a Christmas tree the park calls the tallest in Pennsylvania. More than 20 family and thrill rides run, weather permitting, including the Jack Rabbit, Kangaroo, Turtle and Merry-Go-Round. Some rides operate only on nights above 40 degrees. Children can meet Santa at Celebration Station, mail a letter to the North Pole, and walk through Christmastown to meet Rudolph, Clarice, Bumble and Sam the Snowman. There is also a model train display in the Penny Arcade. Guests 15 and under must be with an adult at least 21 years old, and outside food is not allowed.
