About this adventure
Greensburg Civic Theatre presents Disney's Newsies JR. at the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center over the first weekend of December. The show is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 Disney film and inspired by the true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City. When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys' expense, Jack Kelly rallies newsies across the city to strike, and together they learn they are stronger united. The score is by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman, with a book by Harvey Fierstein. Tickets are cheaper in advance than at the door, and they are sold by Greensburg Civic Theatre, not the Palace Theatre box office.
