About this adventure
An evening run or walk through the Christmas light display at Alameda Park in Butler, held as the kickoff to the park's light display; proceeds help fund the lights. The 2-mile course starts at 5 PM in the upper section of the park, and costumes are encouraged: glow-in-the-dark gear, antlers and other creative holiday outfits. Children 12 and under have their own discounted entry. Runners who sign up by midnight on November 8 receive a Christmas medal with ribbon in their race packet. Age-group awards go to first-place male and female finishers, including a 1–12 and a 13–18 group.
