Sewickley Light Up Night

The Borough of Sewickley lights up the village to open the holiday season with an evening of tree lighting, live music and family activities spread across the business district. Performances run on two stages: a main stage on Broad Street and a youth stage on Walnut Street. Horse-drawn carriage rides leave from FNB on Beaver Street from 5 to 8 PM, an ice sculpting contest runs in the Beaver and Chestnut Street parking lot, and Santa visits the gazebo at Wolcott Park. A new Kids' Zone on the Borough Hall lawn has a SweetRide, cotton candy, face painting and a Santa Hotline, and the Sewickley Public Library hosts kids' activities. Strolling characters, more than 20 food trucks at the Green Street lot and a warming center at The Lindsay Theater round out the night, which ends with fireworks at 8 PM. Free parking is offered at several lots, including Heritage Valley Hospital, the Sewickley Public Library and the YMCA upper lot. The borough also lists a Santa Parade on Saturday, December 5 at 10:30 AM (followed by Santa in the Wolcott Park gazebo until 1 PM) and free horse-drawn carriage rides from Wolcott Park on December Sundays, 12-4 PM.
