About this adventure

Dancers from Northwest Dance Theatre bring a taste of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker to the Tualatin Public Library for a one-hour holiday program by the library hearth. The performance tells the familiar story of Clara, the Nutcracker Prince, the Rat King and other favorite characters from the ballet, giving young children a close-up look at ballet in a relaxed setting rather than a big theater. The library lists it for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, kids, teens and adults, so the whole family can come together, and it suits little ones who might not sit through a full-length Nutcracker. It takes place on a Saturday morning in early December. Arrive a little early to find a spot near the hearth.
