About this adventure
Oregon International Ballet Academy (OIBA) brings its holiday Nutcracker back to the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts in Beaverton for three performances over the first weekend of December, with a possible fourth show if demand keeps growing. The production pairs the school's young student dancers — the mice, soldiers, angels and party children that small audience members love to spot — with the academy's top performers and surprise guest artists from the local ballet world, so it feels like a full Nutcracker while staying a community tradition. It is a gentler, more local alternative to the big downtown production and a good first ballet for children who can sit through a full-length show. Tickets are $44 through The Reser; performance times are listed on the ticketing page.
