About this adventure
Watch a historic water-powered gristmill at work. At Historic Yates Mill County Park, historical interpreters lead visitors inside the mill to see the waterwheel turn and the millstones grind corn into meal — a vivid lesson in simple machines and water power for school-age kids. It is a free drop-in program with no registration; only 20 visitors fit in the mill at a time, so you may wait briefly for your turn.
