About this adventure

Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh runs its Gingerbread Jamboree over the weekend of Dec 12–13, 2026, a hands-on holiday session where each family decorates its own keepsake gingerbread house. Team Marbles handles the setup and the cleanup and supplies the candy, icing and other sweet decorations, so parents can simply sit down with their children and build. The house itself is reusable and must be purchased separately from the entry ticket. There are three sessions each day, at 9:30 am, 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm, held in the museum's IMAX Building (Venture Hall) on East Hargett Street. Every attendee, adult or child, needs a ticket: $18 for museum members and $20 for the general public, and tables seat up to six. Children must be with at least one adult over 18. Museum admission is not included, but ticket buyers receive an email with a discount code for admission about three weeks before the event, which makes it easy to turn the craft into a full museum day.
