About this adventure
Carolina Ballet's holiday production of The Nutcracker, presented by PNC Bank, plays Raleigh Memorial Auditorium for two weeks before Christmas. The ballet follows Clara's imagination from the battle with the Rat King to the Land of the Sweets, set to Tchaikovsky's score performed live, with choreography by Zalman Raffael and richly detailed costumes and sets. With 20 performances — evening shows at 7 pm and matinees at 1, 2 or 5 pm, plus a noon show on Christmas Eve — families can pick a time that suits young children; matinees are the easiest first ballet. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster from the company's performance list.
