About this adventure

In this K-5th Adventures session at the Southeast Regional Library in Garner, elementary-age children read about the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday together and then make a pop-up card to give to someone special, such as a grandparent, teacher or host at the Thanksgiving table. Library staff guide children through folding and cutting the pop-up mechanism and decorating the card, so it suits both younger students who need help with scissors and older ones who want to design something more elaborate. The K-5th Adventures series is built around reading, creating, discovering and exploring with hands-on activities. The session is free, lasts about 45 minutes after school, and is listed for school-age children.
