About this adventure
A free, drop-in outdoor play morning run by the Natural Sciences museum's Prairie Ridge play facilitators on the grounds of the North Carolina Museum of Art. Staff stock part of the outdoor park with loose parts for open-ended nature play; the supplies change each month and can include fort-building equipment, puppets and costumes, bubbles and paint. A facilitator is on hand to help children play their own way, and families can come and go any time during the two hours. The whole program is outdoors, so dress for the weather and expect children to get messy — a change of clothes is a good idea. It is designed for children 7 and younger, though everyone is welcome. Meet near the NCMA Welcome Center.
