Downtown Cary Park's signature play space, named the #1 public playground in America in USA TODAY's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. Two giant cardinal play structures anchor The Nest, with multiple slides, a separate toddler play area, a communication board for non-speaking children and a splash pad for hot days. Around it, families can walk the Skywalk 17 feet up in the tree canopy, play table tennis and putting games on Park Street, picnic on the Great Lawn and stop at Market 317 in Academy Pavilion for sandwiches and ice cream; Academy Plaza has a seasonal sprayground. Guest Services, with lost and found, is on the bottom floor of the Cary Regional Library next to The Nest, and all points of sale are cashless.
