About this adventure

Youngsville in southern Franklin County lights its town Christmas tree at its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday evening, Dec 4, 2026, at Oak Street and South College Street in the small downtown. The Franklin County Library lists the evening on its calendar from 6 to 8:30 pm because its Voyager bookmobile will park among the other holiday vendors, offering a family-friendly holiday craft for children and, of course, books to browse and borrow. That makes it a relaxed small-town alternative to the bigger Wake County tree lightings, about fifteen minutes north of Wake Forest. The library's listing is the only published 2026 detail so far: it does not print the exact time the tree is lit, other activities, or any cost, so check the Town of Youngsville's channels closer to the date for the full program. Dress warmly for an outdoor evening downtown and bring a library card if you want to check out books from the bookmobile.
