San Bernardino County Regional Parks and the office of Second District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez host a free Kite Day at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park on Saturday morning, November 7. Families can learn how to launch and fly a kite on the park's open lawns, with free kites handed out first come, first served while they last, plus other family-friendly activities and a chance to meet the supervisor. All ages are welcome, and leashed pets may come along. The event is free, but early online registration is strongly recommended. Cucamonga-Guasti also has a lake, playgrounds and picnic areas, so it is easy to stay for lunch afterwards; the park is open 7:30 am to 5 pm. Bring sun protection and water, and a kite of your own if you want to be sure of having one.
