About this adventure
Adventure Mountain sits at 7,400 feet on Echo Summit along Highway 50, about ten minutes west of South Lake Tahoe. The site bills itself as Tahoe's highest tubing destination. Its 40-plus acres include groomed tubing lanes and designated snow-play areas for building, sliding and playing in the snow, plus the Mountainside Cafe for food breaks. Evening Tubing After Dark sessions are offered too. The $20 per-vehicle entrance fee covers parking, park access and the snow-play areas; tubing is ticketed separately. In a normal winter the park opens daily from 9 AM to 4 PM, December through April, depending on conditions, and no one is admitted in the last 30 minutes of the day. Check the park's site for opening status before you drive up.
