About this adventure
Granlibakken Tahoe's historic ski hill above Tahoe City doubles as one of the North Shore's dedicated sledding slopes. The hill is groomed regularly and supervised by trained staff at busy times, and every ticket includes a sledding saucer for a 90-minute session; private sleds are not used here. In season, sessions start daily at 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM, and on Friday and Saturday nights there are evening sessions at 5 PM with music and lighting. Dress for the snow: the resort asks sledders to bring gloves, waterproof pants, a jacket, snow boots and sunglasses. Families who need adaptive equipment can contact the resort in advance to arrange ADA sledding gear. Season dates follow the snow and are posted in the online booking system, where tickets are sold; resort lodging guests get half off.
