The Bohart Museum of Entomology at UC Davis opens its doors for a free weekend open house on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. This edition focuses on the people behind the science: UC Davis graduate and undergraduate students share their research and talk with visitors about what it is like to study insects. Children can do a hands-on craft, see the research collection up close, and ask the students questions. The museum describes its weekend open houses as a time for individuals, couples and families, and says they are a good chance for teachers, educators, group leaders and parents to talk with staff about bringing insects into their programs; large groups should contact the museum in advance because the space is small.
